We have just come from our annual operators meeting in Park City, Utah where members elected a new President for the association. Kevin Quinn, Owner of Points North Heli-Adventures will assume the role for at least the next to years. Joe Shults from Telluride Heli Tracks remains on board as the Vice President and Tait Wardlaw, GM for Chugach Powder Guides takes over as the associations Secretary / Treasurer.
The association’s annual meeting went very well with operators sharing their season reports, insurance companies discussing the various options in the market and lots of discussion on the future of heli skiing, the support of non-members and the growth of the association.
Black Diamond was on hand to present their new canister free airbag. This could possibly be a game changer with the current flight restrictions on airbags and commercial flights.
Scott Sundberg from SEABA was also in attendance discussing the current situation in Haines, the recent incidents and his desire to join HSUS as a member.
