Valdez Heli Ski Guides was founded by World Extreme Champions, Doug and Emily Coombs in 1993. Our base of operations is at the Tsaina Lodge, located on Thompson pass in Valdez, Alaska. The lodge offers luxury accommodations surrounded by the Chugach Mountains. World class skiing and snowboarding is a two- minute helicopter flight away.
VHSG’s guide team specializes in steep terrain, servicing advanced and expert riders while guiding, instructing, and developing each guest’s skills. It’s a quick flight from Anchorage International Airport to the town of Valdez, and a short shuttle up the highway to the remote setting of the Tsaina Lodge.
